Home

Before I left Richmond I ate dinner. I made a salad with salmon (from a can) on top along with some crackers the we have had in our cabinet for over 2 months, unopened. I think someone must have given them to us. I know I didn’t buy them, but they were there and I thought I should eat some.

Saturday night I stayed with my cousin, at his house, in the town where I am from, which by the way is a very rural county. On the way to his house we took roads that have neither lines nor speed limits. Pretty country – lots of land and lots of farms, it’s beautiful though. My cousin just bought a new house and now has some chickens and two goats named Peanut butter and Jelly. I thought they were too cute to resist taking photos of so here they are. Now I kind of want a goat. Although, I don’t think Richmond city would appreciate me having a goat in my backyard.

This is Jelly (the girl)

And, here is Peanut Butter (the boy). He is doing what goats do best… eating. They will seriously eat anything.

This chicken was my favorite – and my little niece liked it as well. I didn’t hold any of the chickens because I am a wuss and  always often times afraid of harmless animals.

And for the main event that I went home for – A BIRTHDAY party for the newest member of my rather large family. He was turning 1 and to celebrate he had his own cake.

Which, by the way, he loved. But it was funny because everyone was asking him if the cake was good, he kept shaking his head no. They served another cake for everyone else and I had a few bites of Isaac’s cake – he had 3 pieces so we was willing to share.
